The Gaithersburg Giants (22-17) and the Rockville Express (24-15) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Gaithersburg Giants that eventually took advantage of them in a 3-1 win at Montgomery College.

Brandon Grove had two extra-base hits for the Gaithersburg Giants. He singled in the second innings, doubled in the fourth inning, and tripled in the fifth inning.

Robin Mowatt got the win, running his season record to 4-1. He allowed one run over six innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered eight hits.

Nik Nowottnick couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Rockville Express, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
