Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Thursday as the Lakeshore Chinooks (2-4) outscored the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters (3-3) 10-8 in 10 innings.

The teams totaled 22 hits in the game.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to nine lead changes in the game.

Brant Valach put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Lakeshore Chinooks. He doubled in the fifth inning and homered in the tenth inning.

Dan Sayles improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Lakeshore Chinooks. Sayles struck out three, walked two and gave up no hits.

Nick Pettus ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed two runs.

The Lakeshore Chinooks' Travis Enger, Sawyer Polen, Ryan Krill and Valach combined for seven hits and six RBIs.
