The Manitoba (3-1) pounded the Newfoundland and Labrador (1-3) on Monday 12-0 at Julien Morin in five innings.

The Manitoba scored five runs in the fifth on a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Derek Millar, an RBI double by Adam Nocita, a groundout by Troy Blad, and a single by Skylar Canada.

Millar went a perfect 2-2 at the plate for the Manitoba.

Clark Whelpton brought the heat against the Newfoundland and Labrador during his outing. The Newfoundland and Labrador managed just two hits off of Whelpton, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his four innings of work.

Travis Taylor couldn't get it done on the bump for the Newfoundland and Labrador, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked three and struck out three.
