A 10-run explosion in the second inning carried the Nova Scotia (1-2) to a 16-6 win in five innings over the Newfoundland and Labrador at Parc de l��est on Sunday.

Colan McCulloch went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Nova Scotia. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the fifth inning.

Colton Beach recorded his first win of the year for the Nova Scotia. He allowed one run over two innings. Beach struck out four, walked four and gave up one hit.

Parker Gulliver was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
