Troy Blad was cold coming off the bench, but Blad warmed up quickly as Blad stroked a key pinch-hit single in the three to lead the Manitoba (3-1) to a 6-2 win over the Prince Edward Island (0-4) on Sunday at Parc de l?est.
With the Manitoba trailing by one in the third inning, Blad came to the plate and singled, scoring Derek Millar.

The Manitoba got the win thanks in large part to Blad's dominant, six-strikeout performance. Blad allowed one earned run on three hits and four walks over five innings.
Jed Noonan couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Prince Edward Island, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
