Matthew Ianni brought the heat against the Quebec during his outing. The Quebec managed just one hit off of Ianni, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Despite the loss, the Quebec's Alexis Lavergne dominated the Ontario's batters, giving up zero runs and striking out six.

Alec Miller improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Ontario. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Xavier Bilodeau (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
