Both the McAllen Thunder (6-5) and the Fort Worth Cats (8-3) put runners aboard on Thursday, but it was the McAllen Thunder that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 4-3 win at LaGrave Field.

Andy White was hot from the plate for the McAllen Thunder. White went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fifth inning.

David Bergin went a perfect 2-2 at the dish for the Fort Worth Cats. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the sixth inning.

Steven Romero got the win, running his season record to 2-1. He allowed three runs over five innings. He struck out one, walked five and surrendered six hits.

James Giulietti (1-1) took the loss for the Fort Worth Cats. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
