The Okotoks Dawgs outlast the Edmonton Prospects in high-scoring affair, 12-8

Pitchers had a tough day during the game between the Okotoks Dawgs (9-3) and the Edmonton Prospects (1-12), as the two teams put up 20 runs combined in a 12-8 the Okotoks Dawgs win.

The two teams combined for 32 hits in the game.

The Edmonton Prospects were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The Edmonton Prospects led until the eighth inning, but the Okotoks Dawgs took the lead back on a solo home run by Sean Kettering.

Cade Gotta had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the first inning, doubled in the third inning, and homered in the sixth inning.

Dominic Porretta looked sharp on the mound. The Edmonton Prospects managed just one hit off of Porretta, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Connor Battaglia couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Edmonton Prospects, taking a loss. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed four runs.

The Okotoks Dawgs pounded the Edmonton Prospects pitching, as six hitters combined for 18 hits, 11 RBIs and 12 runs scored.
