A walk-off single from Ryan Gasporra brought home the winning run for the Alexandria Aces (6-6) in a 9-8 victory over the San Angelo Colts (6-6) at Bringhurst Field on Monday.

Gasporra led the Alexandria Aces' offensive threat, as he got on base one time in the game.

Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 17 total runs and 23 hits during the game. Both bullpens were busy with eight pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.

Austin Newell racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Alexandria Aces. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the ninth innings.

The San Angelo Colts had no answer for Mike Loseke, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Loseke held the San Angelo Colts hitless over 1 2/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Nathan Stewart recorded his first win of the year for the Alexandria Aces. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Alfredo Caballero was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
