Story by Narrative Science.

The San Angelo Colts (6-5) jumped out to an early lead on the Edinburg Roadrunners (3-8) and captured a 12-2 victory on Friday at Foster Field.

Six runs in the first three innings allowed the San Angelo Colts to put the game away early.

A two-run home run by Mike Mobbs and a two-run home run by Braden Embry during the first inning and an RBI double by Embry in the second inning supplied the early offense for the San Angelo Colts.

Mobbs reached base five times. He scored three runs and had three RBIs.

Alex Bates's eight strikeouts helped the San Angelo Colts to the victory. Bates allowed two earned runs on four hits and one walk over eight innings.

Despite the loss, the Edinburg Roadrunners' Elroy Urbina dominated the San Angelo Colts' batters, giving up one run and striking out seven.

Frank DeJuilio ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed five runs.
