The Raton Osos (13-54) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 2-1 ballgame against the Trinidad Triggers (38-31) on Wednesday at Central Park.

The Trinidad Triggers took the lead in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Max Garza.

Wink Nolan was solid at the plate for the Trinidad Triggers. Nolan went 1-2, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Chris Shaklee racked up six strikeouts in the the Trinidad Triggers win. Shaklee allowed no earned runs on four hits and no walks over five innings.

Willie Frederick (2-9) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
