The Roswell Invaders outlast the Trinidad Triggers in high-scoring affair, 15-11

Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Friday as the Roswell Invaders (34-13) outscored the Trinidad Triggers (26-19) 15-11.

The two teams combined for 30 hits in the game.

The Trinidad Triggers were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The Trinidad Triggers were ahead until the seventh inning, but the Roswell Invaders would not be denied the win, taking the lead back on an error.

The Roswell Invaders' Ryan Normoyle was perfect at the dish, going 5-5. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the first, second, seventh, and eighth innings.

Ryan Richardson baffled the Trinidad Triggers, striking out six batters. The Roswell Invaders' pitcher tossed 4 2/3 innings of shutout ball and allowed only three hits.

Matt Gibbs got the win for the Roswell Invaders despite allowing six runs over one-third of an inning. Gibbs struck out none, walked none and gave up five hits.

Mike Mullen (1-1) took the loss for the Trinidad Triggers. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
