An impressive effort by John Petchonka hoisted the Bras and Bros (2-0) to a 28-6 win in four innings over the Rack and Sacks (0-2) on Sunday at Veterans Memorial Park three.
Petchonka racked up seven RBIs on four hits for the Bras and Bros. He tripled in the third inning and homered in the first, second, and fourth innings.
Twenty-two runs in the first three innings helped the Bras and Bros blow out the Rack and Sacks. A three-run home run by Petchonka, an RBI triple by Brian Gleason, an RBI double by Vanessa Olavaeria, an RBI single by Rich Lohar, and a home run by Chris Schneider in the first inning and a solo home run by Petchonka, a solo home run by Leah Baer, a two-run triple by Lohar, an RBI double by Gina Petchonka, and an RBI single by Schneider during the second inning helped the Bras and Bros put some runs on the board early.
Greg Lehecka racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Rack and Sacks. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Schneider got his second win for the Bras and Bros despite allowing six runs over four innings. He struck out two, walked 10 and surrendered five hits.
Kristen Canillas (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed 28 runs in four innings, walked four and struck out four.
The Bras and Bros pounded the Rack and Sacks pitching, as eight hitters combined for 26 hits, 27 RBIs and 24 runs scored.
