Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Bras and Bros (1-0) outscored the Rack and Sacks (0-1) 21-11 in five innings.
The two teams combined for 29 hits in the game.
Fifteen runs in the first three innings helped the Bras and Bros blow out the Rack and Sacks. , a fielder's choice, , , , and a home run by Chris Schneider during the first inning and a two-run double by John Petchonka, a two-run home run by Leah Baer, and in the second inning helped the Bras and Bros put some runs on the board early.
Schneider racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Bras and Bros.
Bernie Felder went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for the Rack and Sacks. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the third and fifth innings.
Schneider got his first win for the Bras and Bros despite allowing 11 runs over five innings. Schneider struck out two, walked 10 and gave up 11 hits.
The Bras and Bros hammered the Rack and Sacks pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 16 hits, 14 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
