Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Sunday as the Swingers (1-0) outscored the Body Shot (0-1) 20-15 in seven innings.
The teams totaled 44 hits in the game.
The game was back-and-forth heading into the fifth, with nine lead changes.
Vince Parisi racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Swingers. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the third and fifth innings.
Dave racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Body Shot. He tripled in the first inning and singled in the third and seventh innings.
John Woods got the win for the Swingers despite allowing 15 runs over seven innings. Woods struck out three, walked nine and gave up 17 hits.
The Swingers hammered the Body Shot pitching as seven hitters had a field day, combining for 21 hits, 19 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
Leo was charged with the loss. He allowed 20 runs in six innings, walked four and struck out two.
