Matt Britton was cold coming off the bench, but Britton warmed up quickly as Britton stroked a key pinch-hit single in the nine to lead the Lima Locos (18-15) to a 4-3 win over the Licking County Settlers (23-14) on Sunday at Simmons Field.
With the Lima Locos trailing by one in the ninth inning, Britton came to the plate and singled.
A walk-off single by AJ Flores gave the Lima Locos the win.
Flores was hot from the plate for the Lima Locos. Flores went 4-5 and drove in one. He singled in the first, eighth, tenth, and twelfth innings.
Tyler Murphy got the win, running his season record to 3-1. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered five hits.
Eric Wilson was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
