A walk-off single from Matthew Furuto brought home the winning run for the Lima Locos (12-9) in a 12-11 victory over the So. Ohio Copperheads (18-7) in 15 innings at Simmons Field on Saturday.

Furuto did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Lima Locos, reaching base five times. He scored two runs and had three RBIs. He singled in the third and fifteenth innings.

The two teams combined for 23 runs and 29 hits, including zero extra base hits. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using 12 pitchers in total.

Tyler Grogg led the Lima Locos' offensive threat, as he got on base five times in the game. He singled in the fourth and fifth innings.

Tyler Murphy improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Lima Locos. He allowed two runs over four innings. Murphy struck out three, walked none and gave up two hits.

Logan Sparkman (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed one run.
