Hamilton Joes vs Dayton Docs: 5-2

The Dayton Docs get on top of the Hamilton Joes early but can't hang on in 5-2 loss

The Dayton Docs (13-15) jumped out to an early lead, but were unable to hold on and lost 5-2 to the Hamilton Joes (12-16) on Saturday.

The Hamilton Joes took the lead in the seventh inning on a sacrifice fly by Bradley Macciocchi.

Tommy Ricciardi was hot from the plate for the Hamilton Joes. Ricciardi went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the fourth and eighth innings.

The Dayton Docs couldn't get anything going so long as Erik Swanson was on the hill. Swanson gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his five innings of work.

Zak DeCamp had a hot bat for the Dayton Docs. DeCamp went 2-3 and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and tripled in the sixth inning.

Zach Walsh was charged with the loss. He lasted just seven innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
