The Xenia Scouts (10-16) and the Hamilton Joes (10-15) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Xenia Scouts that eventually took advantage of them in a 5-3 win at Grady Field.

Lincoln Reed racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Xenia Scouts. He singled in the fourth inning and tripled in the eighth inning.

Tommy Kister picked up the win for the Xenia Scouts. Kister allowed three earned runs, five hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings of work.

Christian Morris (0-1) took the loss for the Hamilton Joes. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed two runs.
