Wednesday was a great day for Tommy Kister, as Kister tossed a shutout to carry the Xenia Scouts (9-13) to a 3-0 victory over the Dayton Docs (11-10) at Grady Field.
The Xenia Scouts' Kister kept the Dayton Docs off the scoreboard for all nine innings he was on the hill. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on two hits while striking out seven.
Lucas Salerno racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Xenia Scouts. He singled in the first, third, and seventh innings.
Ian Creager (1-2) took the loss for the Dayton Docs. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
