The Hannibal Cavemen (8-10) scored three runs in the eighth to cap a 7-1 win over the Danville Dans (9-7) on Tuesday.
Ryan Cooper racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Hannibal Cavemen. He singled in the first inning and tripled in the eighth inning.
Travis McDonald put together a nice outing. The Danville Dans managed just four hits off of McDonald, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out two during his five innings of work.
The Danville Dans were led by a flawless day at the dish by Jacob Thomas, who went 4-4 against the Hannibal Cavemen's pitching. He singled in the first, third, seventh, and ninth innings.
Corbin Olmstead (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
