A great effort by Jonathon Wandling hoisted the Hannibal Cavemen (5-5) to a 2-0 win over the Quincy Gems (6-4) on Saturday at Clemens Field.

Wandling kept the Quincy Gems off the board during his eight innings of work. Wandling allowed three hits, two walks and struck out six.

Jake Busiek was effective even in defeat, mowing down six the Hannibal Cavemen batters and allowing two runs.

Busiek couldn't get it done on the mound for the Quincy Gems, taking a loss.
