The Grand Lake Mariners (7-12) and the Dayton Docs (10-9) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Grand Lake Mariners that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-4 win at Montgomery Field.
The Dayton Docs had no answer for Luke Mamer, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Mamer held the Dayton Docs hitless over 2 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.
Brady Stewart racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Dayton Docs. He homered in the third inning.
Charlie Dant couldn't get it done on the mound for the Dayton Docs, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
