A seven-run explosion in the third inning lifted the Hamilton Joes (9-10) to a 10-3 win over the Xenia Scouts (7-12) at Grady Field on Friday.

Seth Martin racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Hamilton Joes. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth innings.

Darrick Brilz Jr. brought the heat against the Xenia Scouts during his outing. The Xenia Scouts managed just two hits off of Brilz Jr., who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out three during his 4 2/3 innings of work.

John Cain (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked six and struck out two.
