A walk-off single from Cody Strong brought home the winning run for the Lima Locos (9-5) in a 5-4 victory over the Lexington Hustlers (6-9) in 11 innings at Simmons Field on Saturday.
Strong racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Lima Locos. He singled in the fifth and eleventh innings.
Matthew Furuto paced the Lima Locos at the plate. Furuto went 4-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the fifth, eighth, ninth, and eleventh innings.
The Lexington Hustlers had no answer for Justin McCalvin, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Lexington Hustlers managed just one hit off of McCalvin, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.
Joey Batuello couldn't get it done on the bump for the Lexington Hustlers, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
