The Licking County Settlers (7-4) and the Lake Erie Monarchs (3-9) both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the Licking County Settlers that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 4-1 win at Ned Skeldon Stadium.

Charles Cooper picked up the win for the Licking County Settlers. Cooper allowed one earned run, three hits and one walk while striking out none over seven innings of work.

Matt Rodgers did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Lake Erie Monarchs, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth inning.

Jonathan Pusateri (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
