A walk-off single from Austin Crutcher brought home the winning run for the Dayton Docs (7-2) in a 5-4 victory over the Hamilton Joes at Wright State University on Sunday.
Crutcher got on base three times in the game for the Dayton Docs. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the fifth and ninth innings.
Joey Stoll pitched lights out for the Dayton Docs. The Hamilton Joes (6-4) managed just two hits off of Stoll, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.
The Hamilton Joes were led by JD Whetsel's hitting. Whetsel went 2-4 and scored two runs. He singled in the first and fifth innings.
