The Cincinnati Steam (4-5) and the Xenia Scouts (2-7) each put runners in scoring position on Saturday, but the Cincinnati Steam capitalized on more RBI opportunities, pulling out a 2-1 win at Western Hills HS.

The Cincinnati Steam would not relinquish the lead as the Xenia Scouts were unable to weather a two-run fifth inning deficit.

The Xenia Scouts scored one run in the sixth on an RBI single by Colton Bessett. Unfortunately, the Xenia Scouts weren't able to take the lead back.

Scott Klever picked up the win for the Cincinnati Steam. Klever pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, five hits and one walk while striking out one.

Tucker Richardson (0-2) took the loss for the Xenia Scouts. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
