David Simmons went 2-2 as the Lexington Hustlers (3-7) took home a 9-6 victory over the Lake Erie Monarchs (3-7) at Georgetown College on Saturday.
He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the eighth innings.The Lexington Hustlers relied on Jakson Deyer to eat up innings en route to the win. Deyer pitched six innings and allowed no earned runs, four hits and no walks while striking out one.
JD Nielsen was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked four, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
