Matthew Kaskow brought home the go-ahead run to give the So. Ohio Copperheads (8-0) the lead in the sixth inning, as the So. Ohio Copperheads hung on to beat the Lexington Hustlers (1-7) 5-3 on Friday.

After Jake Archey singled, Kaskow came to the plate with the Lexington Hustlers trailing by one in the sixth inning, and singled, scoring Archey.

Kaskow led the Lexington Hustlers' offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the sixth inning.

Lucas Whitehill handled the Lexington Hustlers' lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. Whitehill allowed one earned run on three hits and four walks over five innings.

Zakary Esposito improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the So. Ohio Copperheads. He allowed one run over one inning. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered two hits.

Blake Oyler was charged with the loss. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
