Jason Defevers went 2-4 as the Grand Lake Mariners (3-4) took home a 5-2 victory over the Lima Locos (3-4) at Montgomery Field on Friday.

Alex Liquori racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Lima Locos. He homered in the fifth inning.

Engel Diaz looked sharp on the mound. Diaz gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Brennan Pearson recorded his first win of the year for the Grand Lake Mariners. He allowed two runs over six innings. Pearson struck out two, walked three and gave up four hits.

Aron Mcree (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
