Ian Creager held the Xenia Scouts (1-3) scoreless for six innings to boost the Dayton Docs (2-1) to a 8-7 victory.

Creager struck out seven and allowed two walks and two hits.

The Dayton Docs staved off the Xenia Scouts as the Xenia Scouts were unable to match the Dayton Docs down the stretch.

The Xenia Scouts scored on a sacrifice fly by Will Taylor in the seventh inning, an RBI single by Kevin Hammer, a single by Hammer, a single by Lucas Salerno, , and a single by George Kirkland in the eighth inning, and a two-run single by Joey Miller in the ninth inning. Still, the Xenia Scouts couldn't catch the Dayton Docs.

Lance Straley racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Dayton Docs. He doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the third and sixth innings.

Shane Armstrong was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out four, and allowed four runs.
