Grant Yoder had two extra base hits as the Dayton Docs (1-1) took home a 5-0 victory over the Xenia Scouts (1-2) at Wright State University on Saturday.
He singled in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the sixth and eighth innings.The Xenia Scouts couldn't get anything going as long as Austin Schmidt was pitching. Schmidt gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out one during his three innings of work.
Logan Sendelbach improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Dayton Docs. He struck out none, walked two and surrendered one hit.
Tucker Richardson ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
