TJ Fussell held the Statesville Owls (14-13) scoreless for six innings to boost the Morganton Aggies (12-9) to a 3-0 victory.

Fussell allowed five hits, two walks and struck out seven.

Nick Triplett was hot from the plate for the Morganton Aggies. Triplett went 2-2, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.

Casey Liles couldn't get it done on the hill for the Statesville Owls, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
