The Lake Norman Copperheads (20-12) pounded the Statesville Owls (17-14) on Friday 8-2 at Statesville Owls Home Field in seven innings.

The Lake Norman Copperheads scored three runs in the sixth on and a single by Holden Cammack.

Mikal Hill racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Lake Norman Copperheads. He singled in the first and second innings and homered in the fourth inning.

The Statesville Owls couldn't get anything going as long as Aaron Spano was on the mound. The Statesville Owls managed just one hit off of Spano, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out none during his three innings of work.

Keith Little was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked none, struck out four, and allowed three runs.
