An outstanding effort by TJ Fussell led the Morganton Aggies (8-3) to a 7-0 win in seven innings over the Carolina Vipers (4-11) on Saturday at Shuey Field.

Fussell got the win for the Morganton Aggies thanks to 13 strikeouts. The Morganton Aggies' pitcher tossed six innings of shutout ball and allowed only two hits.

Six runs in the first three innings helped the Morganton Aggies blow out the Carolina Vipers. , , and an RBI single by Ross Easterling during the second inning helped the Morganton Aggies put some runs on the board early.

Eric Barbieri racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Morganton Aggies. He singled in the second inning and homered in the third inning.

Ben Correll couldn't get it done on the hill for the Carolina Vipers, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked three and struck out three.
