The Carolina Chaos (4-5) came out firing, but couldn't hang on to the lead, ending up on the losing side of a 2-1 ballgame against the Carolina Vipers (4-9) on Friday at East Mecklenburg HS.
While the Carolina Chaos led until the fourth inning, the Carolina Vipers worked their way back and took the lead on a two-run single by Joe Henderson.
Henderson got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the fourth and sixth innings.
Rob Howard got the win, running his season record to 1-2. He allowed one run over four innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered three hits.
Joshua Wright (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed two runs.
