Edgar Lebron Jr. went 2-3 as the Pineville Pioneers (6-3) took home a 4-3 victory over the Carolina Vipers (2-8) in seven innings at East Mecklenburg HS on Wednesday.

It was a good day at the plate for the Carolina Vipers' Joe Henderson. Henderson went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the fourth inning.

Erik Markwat recorded his first win of the year for the Pineville Pioneers. He allowed two runs over three innings. He struck out none, walked two and surrendered two hits.

Michael Trombino (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked four, struck out four, and allowed two runs.
