The Morganton Aggies (5-1) outlasted the Statesville Owls (2-5) at Statesville Owls home field 2-1 on Monday after 11 innings.

With the score tied at one in the eleventh inning, was hit by a pitch, scoring Jermale Paige.

Paige did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Morganton Aggies, reaching base three times. He singled in the third and eleventh innings.

Justin Johnson handled the Statesville Owls' lineup with ease, racking up six strikeouts. Johnson allowed one earned run on three hits and four walks over seven innings.

Alex Ledford got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered no hits.

Keith Little (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
