The Falmouth Commodores (26-17) beat the Cotuit Kettleers (24-18) 9-5 on Saturday at Arnie Allen Diamond behind Rhys Hoskins, who went 2-5.

Brandon Magallones handled the Cotuit Kettleers' lineup with ease, racking up five strikeouts. Magallones allowed one earned run on four hits and no walks over five innings.

Adam Ravenelle was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Falmouth Commodores batters and allowing one run.

Danny Diekroeger had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the second inning and doubled in the sixth inning.

Craig Schlitter got the win, running his season record to 4-2. He allowed four runs over two innings. Schlitter struck out three, walked one and gave up four hits.

Joel Seddon (3-2) took the loss for the Cotuit Kettleers. He lasted just one inning, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
