The Cotuit Kettleers (24-17)'s three first-inning runs built an early lead that helped bring home a 5-1 win over the Chatham Anglers (26-15) on Friday at Lowell Park.

Rhett Wiseman did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Cotuit Kettleers, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning.

Tommy Kister racked up eight strikeouts in the the Cotuit Kettleers win. Kister allowed one earned run on three hits and three walks over 5 2/3 innings.

J.D. Davis boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Chatham Anglers. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Andrew Chin (2-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
