The Bourne Braves (18-19) and the Brewster Whitecaps (13-24) both threatened with rallies, but it was the Bourne Braves that eventually took advantage of them in an 8-7 win at Doran Park.

Trent Gilbert boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 4-4 day at the plate to pace the Bourne Braves. He singled in the third, fifth, sixth, and eighth innings.

The Brewster Whitecaps were led by Trevor Mitsui's hitting. Mitsui went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the fourth and seventh innings and doubled in the ninth inning.

Jack English got the win, running his season record to 1-2. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. English struck out two, walked one and gave up two hits.

Trey Cochran-Gill (1-1) took the loss for the Brewster Whitecaps. He allowed six runs in two innings, walked two and struck out two.
