The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (16-18) beat the Harwich Mariners (17-16) 7-6 but needed 11 innings to do so on Wednesday at Whitehouse Field.

With the score tied at six in the eleventh inning, Demetrius Stewart came to the plate and singled, scoring Taylor White.

Alex Blandino racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He homered in the third inning and singled in the second and fifth innings.

The Harwich Mariners had no answer for Daniel Altavilla, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Harwich Mariners managed just two hits off of Altavilla, who allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out two during his 3 2/3 innings of work.

Ian Tompkins (0-1) took the loss for the Harwich Mariners. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed one run.
