Jaron Long kept the Brewster Whitecaps (12-20) off the board during his six innings of work and the Bourne Braves (16-16) beat the Brewster Whitecaps, 7-0.

Long struck out three and allowed two walks and three hits.

The Bourne Braves blew out the Brewster Whitecaps thanks to 10 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Bourne Braves scored three runs in the fifth on a two-run single by Max Pentecost and an RBI single by Jeff Gardner.

The Bourne Braves were led by a flawless day at the dish by Trent Gilbert, who went 4-4 against the Brewster Whitecaps' pitching. He singled in the second, fifth, sixth, and eighth innings.

Jake Stinnett couldn't get it done on the bump for the Brewster Whitecaps, taking a loss. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
