The Wareham Gatemen (6-22) built an early edge on Tuesday, but the Brewster Whitecaps (11-17) roared back to steal a 5-1 victory at Spillane Field.
A three-run double by Nick Lynch gave the Brewster Whitecaps the lead in the fourth inning.
The Wareham Gatemen had no answer for Brandon Leibrandt, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Wareham Gatemen managed just three hits off of Leibrandt, who allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out three during his five innings of work.
Despite the loss, the Wareham Gatemen's Sean Newcomb dominated the Brewster Whitecaps' batters, giving up one run and striking out five.
