Jose Trevino went 1-4 and hit a home run, sparking the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (13-14) to a 4-3 victory over the Orleans Firebirds (11-16) on Monday at Red Wilson Field.

James Kaprielian baffled the Orleans Firebirds, striking out 10 batters. Kaprielian allowed one earned run on four hits and two walks over six innings.

Ross Kivett put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Orleans Firebirds. He doubled in the third and fifth innings and singled in the seventh and ninth innings.

Kody Kerski got the win, running his season record to 2-0. Kerski struck out two, walked none and gave up two hits.

Corey Miller was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
