The Chatham Anglers outdone by White and the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox, 6-4

Taylor White had two extra base hits as the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (11-12) took home a 6-4 victory over the Chatham Anglers (15-8) at Red Wilson Field on Wednesday.

He doubled in the third and fifth innings.

The Chatham Anglers couldn't get anything going as long as Darrell Hunter was on the mound. Hunter held the Chatham Anglers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

Joshua Eldridge racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Chatham Anglers. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth inning.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox couldn't get anything going as long as Dominic Moreno was pitching. The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox managed just one hit off of the the Chatham Anglers' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Daniel Savas improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings. He struck out seven, walked three and surrendered eight hits.

Andrew McGee ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.

The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox's White, Brandon Downes, Jose Trevino and Alex Blandino combined for eight hits and three RBIs.
