Clinton Freeman came off the bench and never even had to swing his bat as Freeman reached on a wild pitch in the three to lead the Bourne Braves (10-13) to a 4-2 win over the Wareham Gatemen (5-19) on Wednesday at Doran Park.

Tim Caputo went a perfect 4-4 at the plate for the Bourne Braves. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth, sixth, and eighth innings.

Kyle Kubat got the win for the Bourne Braves thanks to seven strikeouts. Kubat allowed two earned runs, five hits and no walks over seven innings.

Ethan Gross was hot from the plate for the Wareham Gatemen. Gross went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the second innings.

Spencer Turnbull (0-1) took the loss for the Wareham Gatemen. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
