Jimmy Pickens had four RBIs, helping the Chatham Anglers (10-5) to a 7-3 victory over the Brewster Whitecaps (3-12) on Sunday at Stony Brook.
He singled in the first inning.The Brewster Whitecaps couldn't get anything going as long as Tommy Lawrence was pitching. Lawrence held the Brewster Whitecaps hitless over 3 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.
Scott Heineman was hot from the plate for the Brewster Whitecaps. Heineman went 3-4 and drove in one. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the first and fourth innings.
Dylan Toscano was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
