Austin Davidson drove in three runs, helping the Orleans Firebirds (2-1) to a 3-0 victory over the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (2-3) on Saturday at Eldredge Park.

Matt Troupe brought the heat against the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox during his outing. Troupe held the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Lucas Long improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Orleans Firebirds. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered one hit.

Kevin McAvoy (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 4 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out seven, and allowed three runs.
